Free GSTR-1 summary from your bills
Pick your business and the month. Every GST bill and credit note you saved on the Nivesh Sahayak document sites is sorted into the GSTR-1 tables, with totals, warnings, a JSON file you can upload on the GST portal, and Excel or CSV for the GST Returns Offline Tool. No login; we send nothing anywhere.

Files for the GST offline tool Import these into the free Returns Offline Tool from the GST portal. It makes the JSON file you upload in GSTR-1.
How to make a GSTR-1 summary here
- Make your bills here first. Tax invoices on billing.niveshsahayak.in, cash memos with GST, and credit or debit notes on credit-note.niveshsahayak.in are saved in this browser. This page reads them; you type nothing again.
- Choose the business and the period. Pick one month, or one quarter if you are in the QRMP scheme. Choose your turnover band so HSN codes are checked for the right number of digits.
- Read the warnings. Missing HSN codes, wrong buyer GSTINs, gaps in your number series and notes whose original invoice is not saved are listed at the top. Correct the bills on their own site, then press Read saved bills again.
- Check each table. B2B bills are listed one by one with the buyer GSTIN; small B2C sales are added up by state and rate; the HSN summary is split into B2B and B2C as the portal now asks.
- Download the JSON. Download JSON for the GST portal checks every bill first (GSTINs, states, GST rates, bill numbers up to 16 characters, HSN digits) and lists anything to fix in plain words. When all is well it saves one JSON file.
- Upload and file. On the GST portal open Returns › GSTR-1 › Prepare Offline › Upload, pick the JSON, check the summary there and file. Prefer the offline tool? Excel workbook and All CSV files are still here; see both routes step by step.
What it does for you
- Sorts every bill for you: by buyer GSTIN, state and bill value, into tables 4, 5, 6A, 7, 8, 9B, 11A, 12 and 13.
- Uses the ₹1 lakh B2C Large limit for bills from the August 2024 period onwards, and the old ₹2.5 lakh for older bills.
- Handles credit and debit notes: to registered buyers in 9B, and for small B2C bills it lowers or raises the B2CS figures, as the return expects.
- HSN summary in two parts, B2B and B2C, with rate, quantity and unit codes (UQC) the portal accepts; services (SAC 99…) get no quantity.
- Documents issued (table 13): each number series with first and last number and total, and a warning when numbers are skipped or repeated.
- JSON for the portal: the sections b2b, b2cl, b2cs, exp, cdnr, cdnur, nil, at, hsn (B2B and B2C) and doc_issue in the layout the portal's Prepare Offline upload reads, checked before download.
- Offline tool layout: headers copied from the GST Returns Offline Tool V3.2.4 files, dates as DD-MMM-YYYY and states as "07-Delhi".
Your data stays with you
The summary is worked out in this browser from the bills saved in your Nivesh Sahayak data home (my.niveshsahayak.in). Nothing is sent to us or to the GST portal. You upload the return yourself, with your own login.

Questions people ask
Does this file my GSTR-1?
No. It prepares the figures and the files. You import them into the free GST offline tool, upload the JSON on the GST portal with your own login and file it there.
Where do the bills come from?
From the bills saved in this browser by the Nivesh Sahayak document sites (billing, cash memo, credit note, receipt and the rest). Bills from other software are not included.
Can I upload straight to the GST portal?
Yes. Press Download JSON for the GST portal and upload the file in GSTR-1 › Prepare Offline › Upload. GSTN publishes no schema file and changes the format now and then, so check the processed summary on the portal before you file; if the portal ever refuses the file, the Excel and CSV for the offline tool still work.
Which bills go to B2C Large?
Bills to unregistered buyers in another state with a bill value above ₹1 lakh (from the August 2024 period; ₹2.5 lakh before). All other B2C bills are added up in B2C Small.
Can I use it for a quarterly return?
Yes. Choose "One quarter (QRMP)" and any month of the quarter; all three months are taken together.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free, with no login and no limit on bills.
